The Power of Emotions: Listen to Your Body's Wisdom

Growing up, many of us were told to hide our sadness or anger and just "be happy and polite."  But stuffing down our emotions can wreak havoc on our body and spirit.


Emotions are our subconscious mind's way of sending important messages. They're energy traveling through our body, craving to be acknowledged and understood. When we ignore them, they can become more intense and even cause chronic physical pain.


It’s a common misconception that pain has purely physical cause. Research shows that emotional conflict or psychological distress can manifest as physical pain without an identifiable medical cause.



Next time you feel an uncomfortable emotion, ask yourself what it’s trying to tell you. Acknowledge it and thank your body for its powerful inner wisdom.  Doing this could save you from future pain in more ways than one.
