How Remote Hypnotherapy Works

Remote Hypnotherapy is Easy and Effective!

How to set up for remote hypnotherapy sessions

  • You can use a comfortable chair that you already have at home, such as a recliner or living room chair that has head support. You may use pillows to add head support if you do not have a chair that already has it.  You may also use an office chair WITHOUT WHEELS (we don't want you rolling away) that allows you to rest your head. It is possible to sit up straight during hypnosis but may not be as comfortable or relaxing for you, especially when trying hypnosis for the first time.

  • The space where you set up should allow for your privacy and distractions should be minimized.

  • The space should be well lit and your camera at an angle so that I can see your breathing (chest rising and falling) and your eyes.

  • You will need an internet connection and a device such as a computer or iPad that has a video camera.

  • I use HIPAA compliant Zoom for all of my sessions. It is free for you to join my meetings via Zoom and you do not have to have a Zoom account.  You can choose to join the Zoom meeting with a web client if you do not want to download the Zoom application.  For instructions on how to join a Zoom meeting click here.

Advantages of remote sessions

  • You are in the comfort of your own home.

  • You will save valuable time that you would otherwise spend driving.

  • You can choose to have your pets nearby.  Dogs and cats love hypnosis (and may join for free)!

Questions and Answers about remote video-hypnotherapy

Q - Do you conduct hypnotherapy sessions in person?

A - I am currently not seeing clients in person.

Q - What if we get disconnected while in hypnosis?

A - I will teach you how to count yourself out of hypnosis and make sure you are grounded before ever going into hypnosis.

Q - How will I be able to connect with you and feel your energy remotely?

A - I have never had a client tell me they felt unable to connect with me or feel my energy during remote sessions.  My clients (aka co-therapists) report positive experiences.  I have set up my system to have good video and audio, so that you will be able to see and hear me very well.  Communication is about 55% body language, 38% tone, and 7% words.  Being able to see and hear me clearly allows for accurate communication and comfort.

Q - What if I have more questions?
